Building a giga-scale factory for sustainable batteries just outside Trondheim, Norway.
What is Elinor?
Elinor Batteries will produce and deliver sustainable batteries to a skyrocketing global market, based on Norway's competitive renewable energy and the use of sustainable raw materials.
We are currently developing our plans for a giga-scale battery factory in Orkland, Norway.
Elinor will build the factory in modules to limit financial and technological risk. When at full capacity, Elinor will be able to produce about 40 GWh.
Work related to the first module of the giga-factory will commence in 2024, with first production from phase 1 estimated in 2026. Three modules are planned to be in production by 2030.

Who is Elinor?
Why Elinor?
The market for sustainable batteries worldwide is already large, driven by the world's need for large-scale electrification. This demand is increasing day-by-day going forward. Norway has been ranked as one of the world's five best countries for battery production by Bloomberg. We believe that Central Norway is the absolute best place in Norway to establish a battery factory: We have access to clean and affordable power, we are close to the competence centers in the technology capital Trondheim, and there is a large labor market in the area.
