More Power to Elinor Batteries – Welcome to Our Two New, Experienced Employees

Elinor Batteries is expanding its team and has recruited two new employees with crucial competencies for the road ahead. The company is now well-equipped for further growth with Marianne as the new Office Administrator and Daniel as Project Engineer.

Daniel Eliassen and Marianne Haugen are happy to join the Elinor Batteries team.

“I’m delighted to have Marianne and Daniel on our team. They both have highly relevant skills and experience for their roles with us, and there’s no doubt they will contribute enormously to Elinor Batteries,” says CEO Arne Fredrik Lånke.

Industry Experience

Project Engineer Daniel Eliassen comes from the Norwegian battery industry and is well acquainted with the challenges and opportunities Elinor is now facing.

“The new battery industry is an incredibly dynamic place to work. One must be ready to adapt and move quickly. I’ve never had a boring day at work,” he says.

“In my previous job, I was involved in planning, designing, and building battery factories. I find it incredibly exciting to join Elinor at such an early stage so I can apply what I learned from the previous project.”

Building Something from Scratch

He finds it motivating to be part of the company’s startup phase, allowing him to influence and build something from the ground up.

“The construction of battery factories in the Nordics has had quite challenging processes so far, and I look forward to using my experiences to optimize the processes as much as possible,” says Daniel Eliassen.

Daniel is committed to the green transition, and he is keen to help achieve large-scale battery production here in Norway.

“I believe the battery industry has the potential to become a significant industry in Norway and that we have what it takes to succeed. There will still be challenges along the way, but an ecosystem with people with a lot of experience is establishing in Norway and Sweden, which I believe will achieve a lot.”

Motivated by the Green Transition

“It’s incredibly exciting to be part of such an early phase and to get to shape and build up the company,” says Elinor’s new Office Administrator, Marianne Haugen.

Marianne has a background in the offshore industry, where she worked as a coordinator and office administrator before eventually taking over HR responsibilities as People & Admin Manager.

“I really enjoyed my previous job, but after more than 13 years in the same place, I was ready for new challenges and experiences,” she says.

Like Daniel, Marianne is highly committed to the green transition and found it particularly exciting to enter the battery industry.

“I truly believe in what Elinor Batteries is doing and that this industry will be an important step towards a greener future.”

Hitting the Ground Running

Marianne started at Elinor in January and is already getting comfortable. And now, as the team is expanding, many processes and routines need to be established by the administrative leader. The company aims to recruit about 20 additional employees over the year, so it is essential to have good onboarding routines.

“Daniel has been my test candidate for the new onboarding routines. But he seems happy, really,” Marianne laughs.

“Marianne has done a fantastic job onboarding me, so I’m very comfortable being her test pilot,” Daniel responds.

He only started at the company a couple of weeks ago, and for now, the commute to work is a bit long: From Mo i Rana to Trondheim. Fortunately, it won’t be long until he moves southward, and he looks forward to getting settled.

“It’s a very nice group of people at Elinor that I’m excited to get to know better,” he says.
